Trip Report, Oceanside Vacation 2024

Oceanside is very clean and relaxed, with reasonable and varied entertainment and food options.
A little bit of homelessness can be seen, but not endemic.

We stayed at The Seabird Resort
The staff was very attentive, and the services were excellent, although the texting feature of the concierge is not as responsive as I'd like.
The location of the elevator can be a little hit or miss; Because it's not a central elevator, the rooms on the right side of the hotel has to walk all the way around, which can be quite a walk

Avoid the food at The High Pie. The fruit jams was of poor quality, though the lemon bars (probably shipped in) was reasonably good.
Cosmos Burger had a pretty good hotdog and burger, though I wouldn't eat it every day since it was pretty greasy.
The Tin Fish had excellent fried fish, but you could tell it's not the best quality stuff. Nonetheless, for $9 fish and chips it was a good value.

Overview

We were able to get on every ride within 5 minutes since it's a school week.
The granny fries were pretty tasty; tart on the inside with sugar and cinnamon on the outside.
The park is best for 4 - 9 year olds; There's a decent number of things that a 2 year old can do.
There are numerous locations around the park to build with Legos. This is a fun break in between activities.
The rides are shorter but they're reasonably high quality.
- Mini-land USA is arguably the most unique attraction. Recommend going there first to see it without big crowds
- The kids especially enjoyed the deep sea adventure (Miniature sub) and the driving school
