Salt Lake City

I spent alot of time in Salt Lake City for work travel. Though the travel rarely takes me outside of the city itself, I've gotten to know the area reasonably well.
Fun facts
City planning
- A city block in SLC is 600ft across
- The streets are particularly wide: Originally designed to be wide enough for a horse drawn carriage to make a U turn.
Areas to check out
I spent most of my time around The Gateway and City Creek. There's always a reasonable amount of shops around, though they tend to close pretty early.

- This place can be a little underwhelming; There's not that many shops; There's a Dave and Busters, a Comedy club, a few restaurants, and a small number of shops.

- This is the nice mall in SLC. A nice little river runs through there, and I like that there is a larger variety of spaces.
Places to stay
I've been to a few hotels in the area
